Newquay Cormorants Crowned 2019 Kernow Diddy League Champions!

A young Newquay Cormorants team of twenty-five swimmers aged 9-12 years took part in three rounds of the Kernow Diddy League 2019 between October and December.  This consisted of three individual meets against the other swimming clubs in Cornwall.  Each swimmer swam as part of the team and completed individual and relay races; each race position was awarded a point toward the team total.

Races were swam according to age, but many Cormorants swimmers had to swim up age groups due to lack of 12 year olds in our team.  Despite this, Newquay Cormorants won each round convincingly and were run-away winners of the 2019 Kernow Diddy League, winning by over 200 points!  This makes the Cormorants the Cornish champions for the second time in three years!  The full points totals are as follows:

1 Newquay Cormorants 766
2 Carn Brea & Helston 543
3 Truro 492
4 St Austell 475
5 Penzance 411
6 Bude 265

A big thank you to Sue for organising the team and to all volunteers poolside.
