Newquay Cormorants swimmer, Kieran Williams recently raced at the British Para Swimming Meet in Aberdean.

Competitors from across the globe descended on Aberdeen for four days of action-packed racing at the 2022 Para Swimming World Series opener, which incorporated this year’s annual British Para-Swimming Meet.

Thirteen different nations were represented in the pool over the four days Thursday 17th – Sunday 20th February 2022.

Close to 100 athletes were registered on the World Series start sheets, and for the British competitors, the event presents an opportunity to impress selectors ahead of June’s World Championships in Madeira, with this meet designated for athletes to post a time to be considered for selection for main GB squad.

Kieran competed in 100 free, 100 back , 50 free, 400 free, and it was broadcast live on YouTube.

Kieran put in some amazing swims, and finished with a Silver medal in the Mens 50m Free.

Well done Kieran, from all at Cormorants!
